7. Be a good listener. Share your children's experiences and problems by listening.
8. Set an example for your children. Practice what you preach.
9. Teach them to take responsibility. Don't hand them everything "on a platter."
10. Keep family ties strong. Be available. Do things together as a family.
11. Develop each child's personality.
12. Understand the true meaning of discipline. Let your authority be motivated by love. Be considerate but firm when you need to be.

14. Nurture their spiritual life. Instill in them a sturdy sense of religion and worship.
